Compass28 Business Tenets
1. Measurable Outcomes Are the Standard
We measure success by what changes. Every engagement produces verifiable, scoped results tied to partner growth.
2. Customer First, Always
Every recommendation begins with the partner's end customer. Programs, listings, and go-to-market strategies are designed by understanding who benefits — and building toward them.
3. Hold the Highest Bar
Deliverables reflect the operational rigor of the environments we came from. Excellence is the baseline.
4. Evidence Before Advice
We examine Partner Central accounts, Marketplace listings, and program structures at the line-item level. Every recommendation is grounded in what we observe.
5. Candor in Service of Outcomes
We surface what the data supports and align recommendations to stated business goals. Direct communication is how we demonstrate respect.
About our Founder
Kimberly Douglass is the founder of Compass28, a strategic consultancy that helps AWS partners build, fix, and scale their partnership programs with precision.
Before launching Compass28, Kimberly spent years inside Amazon Web Services, where she led global solutions architecture enablement — designing and rolling out onboarding programs, upskilling initiatives, leadership development, and tenured SA growth tracks. She built programs from zero to one, repeatedly, in environments where ambiguity was the starting condition and measurable outcomes were the only acceptable result.
Her background spans cybersecurity, defense, and infrastructure. She has served as Head of Partnerships at a SaaS company, built and sold a strategic consultancy, and developed deep operational fluency across the AWS Partner Network — from Partner Central audits and Marketplace listings to go-to-market alignment and practice-level narrative development.
Kimberly's approach is rooted in anthropology and sharpened by endurance. She studies what happens to people, technology, and decisions once pressure is applied — and advises accordingly. Her work focuses on what survives contact with reality: scoped engagements, verifiable results, and programs that function beyond the slide deck.
She is a sought-after speaker at technology conferences, company kickoffs, and sales forums on topics including artificial intelligence, organizational design, and partnership strategy.
Compass28 exists because Kimberly has been on both sides of the table — as the person inside AWS hiring consultants, and as the operator building the programs those consultants were brought in to support. That dual perspective is what she brings to every engagement
